Team Ireland’s MXoN manager Phillip McCullough as resigned from the role over team selection differences.
McCullough stepped down following indecision on this year’s MXoN line-up and has been replaced by Mark Farrelly.
Since 2016, McCullough has had the honor of picking and leading the team to various events around the world, but this year was not so straight forward. After half an hour of discussion an agreement still wasn’t reached as to who is heading to Mantova this year.
McCullough had Stuart Edmonds and Martin Barr down for the Open slot, but the issue came when it couldn’t be decided on an MX2 rider for this year, and his choice wasn’t accepted by the commission.
The official team hasn’t been announced yet, but should be resolved by Farrelly over the next week.
