Ken Roczen and Chase Sexton will race 450s and Australian brothers Hunter and Jett Lawrence will compete on 250s in the four-man Team Honda HRC squad for supercross and motocross announced by American Honda today.

Roczen won four Monster Energy Supercross rounds last season and finished third in the final points standings before sitting out the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series to focus on recovering from the effects of the Epstein-Barr virus. Sexton successfully defended his 250SX East crown with the Factory Connection squad before moving up to the premier class outdoors with Team Honda HRC and won the final round.

The Lawrence brothers both rode for Factory Connection in 2020, with Jett winning the final Lucas Oil Pro Motocross round and earning the Marty Smith Rookie of the Year Award.

In recent seasons Team Honda HRC has focused on the 450 class but with the recent dissolution of the Factory Connection race team the 250 effort is being absorbed into the in-house project for 2021.

ā€œThe 2021 season will be upon us soon and our team is working hard to prepare,ā€ said Brandon Wilson, Manager of Advertising and Motorcycle Sports at American Honda. ā€œWhile we were sorry to see Factory Connectionā€™s race team shut down, weā€™re pleased to continue a relationship with their company and weā€™re excited to have such a talented rider line-up for both classes.ā€
