Scottish Motocross Championship bosses have released a new calendar for the 2021 race season, with a great line up of tracks starting off with Duns on May 15th/16th.
“Apologies for the lack of updates over recent weeks regarding the 2021 ScotMX Championship Powered by Milwaukee we have been in ongoing discussion with Scottish ACU and SportScotland on whether we can kickstart the season with our planned date for Round 1 at Duns on 24th/25th April,” said a statement.
“We were aware of the closeness in date to the easing of restrictions here in Scotland on 26th April but were hopeful we could make it happen. We looked at various options and had our fingers crossed that restrictions might ease a little earlier , however considering different ways of running with limited numbers etc. we have come to the decision that it would be best for everyone involved to make a slight shuffle in our schedule and we can now confirm our First Round will take place at Duns on 15th/16th May.”
The amended 2021 schedule will be as follows:
Round 1 – May 15/16 – Duns
Round 2 – June 26/27 – Lochgilphead
Round 3 – July 10 – Doune
Round 3 – July 17 – Doune
Round 4 – August 14/15 – Rhynie
Round 5 – Sept 4/5 – Desertmartin
Round 6 – October 9/10 – Tain
Entries for Round one will open to registered riders this week and will available for wildcard entries soon after.
