Verde Sports KTM’s Jake Millward had some solid rides this weekend at the Canada Heights’ MX Nationals round, grabbing a race win on Saturday.

We caught up with Millward post-race on Sunday and chatted about his double holeshot and struggling to find a flow.

“Going into the weekend I was feeling good, I really like the track,’ explained Millward.

“I started the day qualifying P2 behind Tommy which I was happy with. In race one I got the holeshot and lead the race from start to finish. The bike felt good, and I felt comfortable at the front.

“Race two my start wasnā€™t as good, struggled with the track a little and couldnā€™t find a flow. Race three in the Fastest 40 I got caught up in the start straight and first corner drama, came from dead last to sixth, my riding was good but starting from the back was not what I needed.

“In race four I got another holeshot but yet again struggled to get into a flow, as I dropped back to fifth and stayed there. My riding was good just struggled to find a flow. Few things to work on for the next round, but a lot of positives to take from the weekend. Looking forward to getting back behind the gate.”
