Red Bull KTM Cooper Webb believes he has a golden opportunity to pick up his maiden AMA Pro Motocross title in 2021 despite a ‘stacked’ grid.

Webb will stick to the conventional WP spring shock instead of the air item he tried indoors in an effort to take a title that has so far eluded him.

ā€œItā€™s been good so far, we did testing Monday and Tuesday, picked my setting, finished the week and then spent all last week riding outdoors. So definitely tight as always going into the first round and yeah weā€™ll see where weā€™re at,” said Webb.

ā€œThe bikes really good and Iā€™m in a good spot so weā€™ll see where we line up on Saturday and just try to build as the season goes on, but at the same time want to come out firing.

ā€œI really do feel confident going into this championship. vI feel like Iā€™ve made a big step with the bike this year, getting more comfortable with it as far as outdoors go.

“I think this yearā€™s a golden opportunity to be a contender for outdoors as well. Thatā€™s the goal.

ā€œItā€™s going to be stacked, weā€™ve got guys back that were injured in Supercross and thereā€™s a lot of us that can go win. So I think consistency is really going to pay off but itā€™s a long summer and anything can happen.ā€
