Monster Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson grabbed the win at tonight’s 450SX East coast season opener, at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
RedBull KTM’s Cooper Webb grabbed the holeshot for the 450SX East coast season opener, ahead of HRC Honda’s Chase Sexton. Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha and current championship leader Eli Tomac then comes together with his team mate Dylan Ferrandis, and goes down on the opening lap, leaving the door wide open for Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson and Rockstar Husqvarna Malcolm Stewart to move up into third and fourth place.
Sexton then charged past the 2021 AMA Supercross Champion Cooper Webb and then allowed Anderson to close the gap which put the pressure on Eli and pushed him wide past the mechanics area. Stewart also then made the pass on Webb moving up into third, until he crashed just coming past the same mechanics area after the front washes out.
Sexton then had a huge huge off which caused him not to remount and finish the moto, allowing Anderson to fly through to claim the 450SX Main event win in Minneapolis, Cooper Webb and Red Bull KTM’s Marvin Musquin.
