Switzerland’s Motocross of Nations rider line-up has changed with Arnaud Tonus dropping out and Killian Auberson stepping in for the RedBud October 6/7 event.
Tonus has been forced to sit out the 2018 FIM Motocross World Championship due to injuries but the rider had hoped he would be able to catch up his fitness level and is understandably disappointed to run out of time. “I really wanted to race in RedBud,” he said. “After all those months without lining up behind a gate, it was my goal to help the Team Switzerland to get a podium. Sadly, I will only be at 90 per cent of my strength, and it will be way too dangerous at that level of riding.”
Jeremy Seewer, Valentin Guillod and Auberson now make up the three-man Team Switzerland for MXoN 2018. “I wish the best to Jeremy, Valentin, and Killian ā I’m sure they will do good,” added Tonus.
