Team New Zealand’s Motocross of Nations 2019 rider line-up has been unveiled by MNZ for the MXoN at Assen in the Netherlands on September 28/29.

The 2019 Motocross of Nations will be about development for New Zealand and the selection reflects that aim. The squad will be led by British MX2 red plate holder Dylan Walsh.

Walsh – who has an 18-point lead in the British MX2 championship ahead of his team-mate with only one round to go – will compete in the MX2 class in Assen.

He will be joined by the young and talented Wyatt Chase in MXGP and Maximum Purvis is slated for the Open class.

Chase has had a stellar year in the MX2 class in NZ and moved up to competing on the 450 a few months ago, showing great maturity. The team feel he will be a great fit in the MXGP class.

Purvis finished second overall in the MXD class in the Australian Motocross Nationals and with his great showing in the final doubleheader last weekend in Coolum he is ready to go in the deep sands of the Netherlands.

New Zealand has a solid record at the MXdN finishing third on three occasions (1998, 2001 and 2006) and an eighth-place finish in 2015.
