Ronnie Mac has posted a response to losing his place on Team Puerto Rico Motocross of Nations.

Earlier this week Travis Pastrana announced that the larger than life character had been pulled from the MXoN Puerto Rico team following a “catastrophe” of a week. That was soon followed up with Kevin Windham being named as a replacement for Mac.

Pastrana offered very little detail as to why Mac was not able to ride but was clear that they had got approval “from the top” before it came “crumbling down”.

Ronnie Mac has now posted a statement but it doesn’t offer any further explanation as to why he isn’t going to ride. Instead, he focuses on wishing the team well for RedBud but interestingly says he still hopes to hang with the team and fans. That may not go down well with some people in the industry but will delight his fans.

Here’s what Ronnie Mac had to say:

“What woulda been… weā€™ll spare the details of the threats, false allegations and malicious nature of those that shut this down. Thanks to all you fans and supporters, we tried to do something different for yā€™all but it just didnā€™t work out. Good luck to @travispastrana @r_sipes @kevinwindham14 @therickyjohnson and the Puerto Rico Team. I hope to be there hanging out with the team and you fans at MXoN #LetRonRide”
