Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Kawasaki) is assured of fourth in the 2020 FIM Motocross World Championship but the former MXGP world champ ā€“ fresh from a top-three finish last time out ā€“ is aiming to sign off with another podium at Sundayā€™s MXGP of Garda Trentino.
ā€œI was able to recover pretty well physically since Sunday,ā€ said the Frenchman, ā€œbut not completely and I still have some pain in my back! It was not an easy day but I rode a good first moto ā€“ I had a bad start as my rear wheel slipped on the metal plate but I had good speed to come back from last to fifth.
ā€œMy second start was much better. I was third, passed to second and had a nice battle with Tim [Gajser]. I just couldnā€™t find the spot to pass him but I am on the box and thatā€™s good, even if I would prefer to be on another step. Now I have three days to recover again and then try to get another podium.ā€
