Red Bull KTM Jeffrey Herlings claims another MXGP World Championship win in Turkey, gaining some more valuable championship points.
Red Bull KTM and fastest qualifier Jorge Prado storms out the gate for the first MXGP moto of the day in Turkey, and leads the opening lap ahead of Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Romain Febvre.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Arminas Jasikonis made his return to the paddock this weekend after suffering a concussion, but during the first couple of laps he came together with Gebben Van Venrooy yamaha rider Calvin Vlaanderen and they both went down, leaving them at the back of the pack.
Meanwhile at the front of the field, Multiple World Champion and Red Bull KTM rider Antonio Cairoli charges through the pack and tried to make the pass on HRC Honda Tim Gajser, chopping and changing between them until tony eventually made the pass to finish up in fifth position.
Standing Construct GasGas rider Pauls Jonass had an amazing ride set the fastest lap on lap thirteen as he tried to make the pass on Febvre, as Herlings also moves through and makes the pass on his team mate. Febvre then made a huge mistake in one of the tricky ruts, allowing Jonas to fly through with two laps to go and claimed third place.
Jeffrey Herlings however checked out, grabbing the first MXGP win of the day.
