Monster Energy Kawasaki Romain Febvre shot to the MXGP moto one win at Arroyomolinos in spain, for round thirteen of the championship series.
Red Bull KTM’s Jorge Prado shoots out the gate grabbed another Fox Holeshot ahead of Monster Energy Kawasaki Romain Febvre, chasing just behind him was Monster Energy Yamaha Glenn Coldenhoff and HRC Honda’s Tim Gajser. Further down the field Red Bull KTM’s Jeffrey Herlings suffered a really tough start, sitting just inside the top ten on the opening laps.
Coldenhoff made the move up into second as Gajser also goes through into third, and they continue to close the gap on Febvre. As then Febvre started to make the charge on Prado, but made a little mistake and got tangled up in the ruts, giving some breathing room to the spaniard.
Febvre eventually manages to make the pass for the lead, and then pulls a nice gap away from Prado on lap nine of the moto, as Herlings starts to make passes to cut through the pack. Meanwhile SS24’s Shaun Simpson had a great ride sitting just outside the top ten during the first moto finishing in fifteenth, with Monster Energy Yamaha’s Ben Watson sits in sixteenth for the remainder of the race and finishes up in nineteenth.
Tim Gajser has a huge off whilst trying to close the gap on Prado, allowing Herlings to fly through up into third and close the thirteen second gap, and chase down Prado on the last lap.
Febvre goes through to take the race one win, ahead of Prado and Herlings.
