Jago Geerts (Monster Energy Yamaha) was back on top in MX2 at Sundayā€™s MXGP of Trentino ā€“ round 16 of the FIM Motocross World Championship ā€“ with a 4-1 card.
However, championship leader Tom Vialle (Red Bull KTM) was just one point behind and as a result Geerts needs to claw back 73 points in the final two rounds.
ā€œI am really happy with how the day went except for in the first heat when I stalled the bike,ā€ said Geerts, ā€œbut in the second heat I was feeling really good on the track. My speed was good and I was really happy.
ā€œWe had a really good day testing with the team on Wednesday so I want to thank the crew for that and now I need to focus on keeping this rhythm.ā€
