MXGP of Trentino victory for Jago Geerts

Jago Geerts (Monster Energy Yamaha) was back on top in MX2 at Sunday’s MXGP of Trentino – round 16 of the FIM Motocross World Championship – with a 4-1 card.
However, championship leader Tom Vialle (Red Bull KTM) was just one point behind and as a result Geerts needs to claw back 73 points in the final two rounds.
“I am really happy with how the day went except for in the first heat when I stalled the bike,” said Geerts, “but in the second heat I was feeling really good on the track. My speed was good and I was really happy.
“We had a really good day testing with the team on Wednesday so I want to thank the crew for that and now I need to focus on keeping this rhythm.”
