Monster Energy Yamaha’s Maxime Renaux shot to moto one victory in Mantova, his first race win as a World Champion in 2022.
Red Bull KTM’s Tom Vialle added another Fox Holeshot to his collection for the opening MX2 moto this weekend in Mantova, as his team mate Renaux Hofer shot through followed by Monster Energy Yamaha current MX2 World Champion Maxime Renaux started to pull away from the pack.
Rockstar Energy Kay de wolf had a great start and worked his way through the pack sitting in fifth for the majority of the moto, as Red Bull KTM’s Tom Vialle made another mistake allowing Kay to really close the gap on the frenchman.
Hofer tucks the front crashing out of the lead, as Kay moves up into fourth place followed by his team mate Jed Beaton in fifth place. Hitachi KTM’s Conrad Mewse chipped away at another mid pack result, sitting in fourteenth as HRC Honda’s Joel Rizzi was back in the points claiming a twentieth place finish.
Renaux went on to win the opening MX2 moto of the day, followed by Monster Energy’s Jago Geerts and Tom Vialle rounding up the top three.
