Factory Yamaha MX2 rider Maxime Renaux grabbed a first overall at Matterley Basin this weekend for round two of the MXGP Championship.

After finishing up sixth overall in Orlyonok for round one of the series, the Frenchman cleaned up with a one – two scorecard at the Hampshire circuit.

“It’s not my first podium this weekend, but it was good it was really emotional for me just not the same as the first one,” said Renaux.

“It was good to bounce back from Russia, it was good, we worked in a good way with the team and made some good improvements on the starts, it was my first holeshot so I was really pumped with that. I had two consistent moto’s so i’m really happy about the weekend.”
