Round five of the Monster Energy FIM World Motocross Championship headed to Trentino this weekend, with Red Bull KTM’s Tom Vialle winning the opening moto of the day in Italy.
Adding yet another FOX Holeshot to his collection, the young french man shot out the gate for the opening moto at Pietramurata, followed by kawasaki’s Mikel Haarup, Hitachi KTM’s Isaak Gifting and Yamaha’s Thibault Benistant rounding out the top three for the opening lap.
Horgmo then had a huge crash, as Yamaha’s Jago Geerts found his way up past Benistant, as Vialle set the fastest lap of the race, with Haarup and Gifting hot on his tails. Geerts then made his way into third position in the last few laps of the moto, which is where he stayed crossing the chequered flag.
Vialle however wins the first MX2 moto of the day followed buy Haarup and Geerts rounding out the top three.
