It was starting to look like maybe Eli Tomac would never win a 450cc supercross championship – prior to the 2020 season he held the record for having the most supercross wins without winning a title after taking that record from the Beast from the East, Damon Bradshaw.
But Tomac pulled it off in 2020 despite the bizarre, COVID-interrupted series, which means Bradshaw has regained that record.
Tomac is the oldest first-time supercross champ in series history after winning the title at 27 and he’s also the first parent to win the championship. His team-mate Adam Cianciarulo is blazing fast on a 450 and will certainly not be content to be the team’s #2.
