Taddy’s the daddy, Vicki is Golden and Nate is great as X-Games 17 goes out with a bang…

There’s a myriad of motocross madness at X-Games 17 as the world’s best extreme athletes converge in LA for a weekend of high octane action. Taddy Blazusiak takes gold in EnduroX despite having to transfer to the main through the LCQ. Trials legend Geoff Aaron leads the main early doors as Taddy and Downtown Mike Brown battle it out for second but when Aaron goes down Taddy takes over to take the win.

Maria Forsberg meanwhile takes the Women’s Endurocross win ahead fo Tarah Geiger and Kacy Martinez in a crash-filled six lap epic.

The Women also compete in a supercross event that sees pre-race favourite Ashley Fiolek crash hard in practice leaving the way clear for Vicki Golden to take gold. The four rider final is made up of Golden, Gieger, Livi Lancelot and Sara Price and Gold’s on it from the off and easily takes the win in the six-lap main event.

Carey Hart makes his X-Games comeback for Speed and Style but finishes off the podium in fourth place after losing the bronze medal run-off to Ronnie Faisst. The battle for gold boils down to a Nate Adams vs Mike Mason battle that Mason wins on the track but Adams steals by out tricking his opponent.

 

The Freestyle final is fought out between Adams, Adam Jones, Dany Torres and Taka Higashino although there can only be one winner and that man is Nate Adams who absolutely destroys the competition with his arsenal of huge tricks…
