This weekend sees the Lloyd Motor Group Trial GP of Great Britain hitting the hilltops of Cumbria and we’re hoping they bring the sunshine with them to the North West!

Aah, the old British weather. Always a talking point and never really quite how they say it is on the forecast, especially when you’re based in Morecambe like us! But enough of the gloom as supreme trials skills are where it’s at this weekend and it all kicks off on Friday with rider’s practice at the Nord Vue venue starting from 10am.

If you can’t make the Friday practice the two day meeting is the final double-dose for the three main championships and riders will be setting off from 9.30am each day. Top Brit in GPs James Dabill will be hoping to break the Spanish deadlock on the series but he’ll have a tough time as everyone (with the exception of the already crowned 2012 champion Toni Bou) still has plenty to fight for in the championship. The Dibster is backed-up by Brits Michael Brown, Jack Challoner and Alexz Wigg in the Championship class.

Jack Sheppard will be looking to end a difficult 2012 campaign on a high point in the Junior series and Bradley Cox needs plenty of partisan support in the Youth championship. Cox still has second place in the series to fight for so keep a close eye on the Beta pilot in his battle with Norwegian Sverre Lundevold.

Other attractions include a rash of 2013 trials bikes on display from the likes of Beta, Sherco and Jotagas. See you there.
