HIMX has announced the signing of 2014 MX2 World Champion Jordi Tixier to compete at the Hawkstone International on February 8, 2015.
After announcing last week they had sorted British Championship Shaun Simpson and Matiss Karro, they are understandably delighted to have gained the services of a World Champion.
It is going to be a big year for the Frenchman next year as not only will he want to retain his World Championship title but he will also make the huge switch from KTM to Kawasaki for the 2015 season and Hawkstone will be one of his first races on the Green Machine.
“I am very much looking forward to racing at Hawkstone and getting my new season and challenge started, said Tixier. “It will be a good way to see how the season will be.”
HIMX commented: “We are really pleased that Jordi has agreed to race at Hawkstone next year, he is the 2014 [MX2] World Champion and will bring a large fan base with him to the fantastic circuit. We are working very hard to ensure we sign some big names and over the next few weeks more will be announced. The line-up is beginning to look very good.”
The support race for 2015 will be the opening round of the British Quad Championship.
