This weekend’s Sheffield supercross is the Future West British Championship series opener and all indications are that it’s gonna be an absolute corker – check out who’s hot and who’s not right here…

The Motorpoint Arena’s gonna be rocking on Saturday night as the greatest line-up of British Supercross title contenders are gonna be battling it out for a sweet slice of the £40,000 prize fund that’s up for grabs in this year’s series.

Heading the entry is defending champ Tom Church who’s racing a HM Plant Red Bull KTM UK in his swansong series before retiring from top-level competition. The #1 plate could help make TC a target and he’s already had several on-track run ins this season with his former CCM team-mate Stephen Sword who makes his debut in Sheffield for the TAS Suzuki team. Like TC he’ll be in contention for the win on the night. But it’s not just a two-horse race…

British MX1 champ Brad Anderson will be hoping to go out witrh a bang before leaving for Australia while Nico Aubin  will be looking to make a strong debut on the Buildbase Honda. Former FWSX champs Gordon Crockard and Lewis Gregory should also be in the mix as will Martin Barr, Adam Chatfield, Ashley Greedy, Neville Bradshaw, Elliott Banks-Browne and indoor specialist Jack Brunell. If you can pick a winner from that lot then you’re a better man than me.
