Jake Nicholls’ bad luck continued this weekend with a crash at the LaCapelle International, which has left the British rider with yet another injury to overcome. Jake was competing in his last race before shipping out to Qatar for round one of the 2015 MXGP Championship when he ejected from a jump and landed on his right arm.
Jake said later that he had tried to turn a bit harder on take off to make the inside line in following turn.
At this early stage details on his injuries and recovery time are of course limited but Jake did update his fans on Twitter: “Y/day avvo they pinned n plated my radius and ulna. Fly home today, look forward to seeing Mrs and fam!”
Everybody at DBR wishes our columnist a speedy recovery.
