FIM and Youthstream has chosen the start of the 2015 MXGP season to launch their Ride Quiet campaign. The purpose of the campaign is to create awareness of the need to reduce sound levels. Based on the FIM’s sustainability policy, it is aimed at the FIM’s Continental Unions and National Federations and their members as well as the many amateur riders all over the world.

Youthstream noted in its press release that very often the sound produced by motorcycle activities can become a nuisance to people living nearby. Indeed we have seen in the UK tracks targeted with protest actions, which has led to closures.
