The MXGP of Russia has ended early for Valentin Guillod following a first turn crash in Orlyonok.
The 24-year-old Swiss rider confirmed the news this evening. “Unfortunately my Russian GP got stopped in the first corner – collective crash at the start. I broke my metacarpal bones on the right hand.”
He’ll fly back home tomorrow (Sunday) and have surgery on Monday.
