Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s Mitchell Oldenburg heads into the Western Regional 250SX Class break on a high after scoring a top-five finish inside AT&T Stadium on Saturday night. His never-quit attitude was on display as he moved forward to finish fifth aboard his KTM 250 SX-F.

After a decent jump off the gate, Oldenburg came around the first lap in eighth. And despite a tricky track, it didn’t take him long to advance through the pack. He moved into fifth on the seventh lap, but the front four were a bit out of reach, leaving Oldenburg to enjoy a solid top five finish before the six-week break.

“I’m looking forward to some time off after seven straight races,” said Oldenburg. “I feel pretty good overall but I am not going to quit trying for that podium. We’ll try and get it when we come back in Santa Clara.”

With the exception of one off race in San Diego, Oldenburg’s been inside the top 10 at every round, placing him seventh in the point’s standings after completing seven rounds.

Next weekend’s round in Atlanta, Georgia, will mark Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull/KTM’s first time competing on the East Coast. Riders Justin Hill, Shane McElrath, and Alex Frye will be representing the TLD team in their first venture to the east.
