Terry Rudd Motorcycles has closed, the firm announced this week.
After 37 years trading, the Lincolnshire-based firm closed its doors on Wednesday (June 28, 2017), announcing the sad news the company said: “It is with much regret that the Directors of Terry Rudd M/c’s Ltd (TRM Racing) have come to the decision after months of deliberation to announce the closure of their company in Fen Road, Holbeach as from Wednesday 28th June 2017.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers/suppliers past and present for their support in our 37 years of trading.
“This is no way affects LR Signs and Designs Ltd, who will continue to trade as normal.”
TRM sold both off-road and on-road motorcycles and specialised in the Honda brand. Over the past 30 years, and more, of off-road trading, the company sold spares, accessories and clothing to the local area and the wider motorcycling community, including via its online store.
It’s sad news for the industry that a firm with nearly 40 years trading under its belt feels that it has no choice but to lock the doors for the final time. To say that Terry and son Mark will be bitterly disappointed just doesn’t cut it, it’s their life’s work.
Everyone at Dirt Bike Rider sends their best wishes to the team at TRM Racing and wishes them well for the future.
