HRC Honda’s Ken Roczen has not been his usual self at the last two rounds of the Monster Energy Supercross in Arlington, seemingly letting the media hype and Cooper Webb rivalry seemingly get in the way of concentrating on winning.
“You know, I said what I wanted to say,” explained Roczen when asked about his post race interview comments aimed at Webb. “But you know, of course now fingers get pointed to with how my races have been.
“I knew that before going into that no matter how I’ll finish in these upcoming races, fingers will get pointed. But you know, and also this is just in the past. Obviously, I haven’t been on the podium lately, but I’ve been trying some different bike settings as well that haven’t really been working out that well.
“I went back to old faithful here in the in the main event today, and that felt a lot better. So I feel like I’m done tinkering around with the bike too much, I’m just trying to always improve a little bit.”
With only twelve points separating the two riders heading into Arlington three this weekend, Ken needs to get another podium finish to keep closing the gap on Webb.
