A routine practice day turned into a nightmare for Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing’s Zach Osborne when he suffered collarbone injury just days from the Supercross season opener in Anaheim.

Osborne will have surgery in the coming hours and with a four to six week recovery time the two-time 250SX champion will be forced to hold off on his 450SX rookie season for a number of rounds.

“I am extremely bummed at the timing of this injury,” said Osborne in a team statement. “I feel that I have reached a level of riding that I never had in my career, on a bike that Iā€™m so very comfortable with. I know that everything happens for a reason and Iā€™ll be back as soon as possible!”
