Monster Star Racing Yamaha rider Christian Craig has undergone surgery following his broken fibula at Salt Lake City as he waits for the Lucas Oil outdoor season to begin.

Craig had a huge off in the 250SX qualifying at the penultimate round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Salt Lake City, and even after attempting to ride, Craig called it a day which forced him out of the title contention.

The Star Yamaha rider confirmed today that his surgery was a success, which should help him recover in a shorter time frame just in time for the outdoors to start next month.

“I had surgery Tuesday morning to get a plate put in,” said Craig. “The plate cuts my time to get back on the bike in half so we went that route. Should be good to go in less than three weeks.

“Luckily, Iā€™ve got a lot of outdoor motos under my belt so Iā€™m not worried. Thank you to everyone for all the messages, comments and love on our YouTube videos. Feeling the fomo of not being at SLC this weekend.”
