Mike Alessi has thrown doubt on his appearance for the second round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross championship this coming weekend.
During the 450SX Main Event at the opening round in Anaheim, Alessi cased a triple and although he saved it initially, a few yards later he collapsed off his bike. The hard hit clearly took its toll and he was attended by the Alpinestars Medical Unit.
In a post on Instagram, the SmarTop MotoConcepts’ rider posted a video of the crash along with an update of his injuries; saying that he was “really sore,” and that he would make a call later in the week on racing at San Diego this weekend.
