We’ve got a Ken Roczen and Cole Seely recovery update and news that Christian Craig will fill in full time at Team Honda HRC for the remainder of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season.

Craig was more than solid in Atlanta last weekend, with a fifth overall in the Triple Crown format on the CRF450R and will be looking to reproduce the same excellent form at this weekend’s round in Daytona.

“After a solid fifth-place overall result in Atlanta, Team Honda HRC is happy to announce that Christian Craig will fill-in aboard a factory CRF450R for the remainder of the AMA Supercross season,” Honda said on Instagram.

Ken Roczen and Cole Seely recovery

Honda’s star rider Ken Roczen is already confirmed to miss the remaining rounds of the series following his crash at San Diego. The German rider is recovering well from his injuries and has targetted a return to racing at the first round of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship at Hangtown on May 19. Roczen has been attending Supercross rounds to hang out with his team and fans, but it’s not something he enjoys when he can’t race. “Itā€™s great coming to the races to hang out with my fans and sign autographs, but it’s really rough not being out there,” he said. “I really dislike being at the races and not racing ā€“ it’s just hard. I canā€™t wait to get back on the bike and be with my team each weekend.”

Team-mate Cole Seely is recovering from his injuries and has been released from Hospital ā€“ confirmed by the rider this week via social media. But he still can’t head home. “Sorry for the lack of updates last week but itā€™s been a rough one,” Seely wrote on Instagram. “I fractured my pelvis and sacrum and messed up a few other things but it’s all fixed now with some hardware.

“Iā€™m out of the hospital now and I’m staying in Florida until I get the ok to fly home. I’ve got a long road ahead of me but I’m stoked I have awesome people around me to help me get through it!

“Thanks everyone for the love on social media and the calls and texts it’s really kept me positive!”
