Josh Grant has posted a very brief injury update on his Instagram account today which offers a small amount of info on his recent surgery.
The Monster Energy Kawasaki rider was sidelined with a leg injury following a crash during qualifying at the Arlington round of the AMA Supercross Championship and since then Grant has undergone surgery to his right tibia.
He confirmed the work done with an x-ray image via an Instagram post, which shows plates/pins to his leg. “Not the type of hardware I was planning on this season,” he wrote.
As I said, it’s very brief but it’s good to know he’s had the surgery and feels well enough to post updates to his fans. You can see his Instagram post below. There has been no other injury update from either Grant or the team.
With Grant out, Monster Energy Kawasaki turned to Tyler Bowers as a fill-in ride last weekend in Tampa and he will continue to provide cover while Grant recovers.
