Monster Energy Kawasaki announced today the signing of Joey Savatgy as the 24-year-old steps up to the 450 class after pointing out in 250SX.

The former Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki rider will team-up with newly-crowned two-time Pro Motocross champion Eli Tomac at the Monster Energy Cup where Savatgy will make his 450 class debut.

“Monster Energy Kawasaki is excited to welcome Joey Savatgy to the team,” the statement said. “The #17 machine will make its premier class debut at the Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 13.”

Posting on Instagram the Georgia-native simply said: “#Team17″ with a couple of smiley faces as he posted an image of his new KX450 ride. Well, they say a picture is worth a thousand words don’t they Savatgy?

There was no mention of Tomac’s 2018 teammate, #33 Josh Grant.
