Here are five things that you can expect from the 2021 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season moving forwards…

  1. After Saturday, it’s do or die for Christian Craig. If he wants to stop his teammate from running away with the championship lead Craig needs to find his mojo and bounce back strong on Tuesday. Expect Craig to come out swinging for round five…
  2. If you look purely at the race results, then you would have to say that Zach Osborne has enjoyed a lacklustre start to the year. That may be true, but the Husqvarna pilot has displayed race winning speed on multiple occasions so far in 2021. Just a few small mistakes have prevented him from realizing his true potential. I’d put good money on Zacho becoming a regular podium threat before too long.
  3. Adam Cianciarulo will grab his first 450 Main Event win this year. It’s only a matter of time for AC. The Kawasaki man has been racing his way back into shape after an off-season operation. He’s proven that he has the speed to run with the big dogs, he just needs to add some endurance to that and a W will be his…
  4. Both riders played it down once racing was finished on Saturday, but I reckon there’s a nice little rivalry brewing between Michael Mosiman and Jett Lawrence. Each rider has put the other on the floor in the last seven days, and although they say that the beef has been squashed I would not be shocked to see sparks fly between these two again before the season is over.
  5. If 2021 has taught us one thing so far, it’s to expect the unexpected. Without doubt they’ll be a whole load more shocks and surprise to come that I can’t possibly predict here. We’ll be seeing fresh podium finishers and new race winner’s week after week, that’s for sure.
