Gannon Audette made his way to the East Rutherford 250SX Main Event through a seventh place in the first heat, while Tyler Bowers transferred with a second place in the 250 Heat 2.
In the Main Event Bowers came around Turn 1 in third with team-mate Audette in 13th. At the halfway point Audette had raced his way into ninth place while Bowers was in a battle for the podium. By the time the chequers flew Bowers crossed the line in fifth with Audette earning a seventh place.
“My day went pretty well,” said Bowers. “I went into the main with confidence after a good heat race. I had a pretty good start and tried to just tick off smooth and consistent laps. I’m really looking forward to Las Vegas next weekend, the combined race with East and West Coast is going to be a blast!”
“My start wasn’t what it typically is,” said Audette. “I was able to make some good passes throughout the race though and ended up bringing it home for a seventh. I’m looking forward to next weekend and capping off the Supercross season on a good note.”
