Early in the Main Event a collision that involved Justin Brayton and Chad Reed brought out the medical flag. At the event, there was no official update on Reed or Brayton.

Reed has now revealed the extent of his injuries and it’s not good news. He’s been left with multiple broken ribs, a busted scapula and if that’s not enough Speedy Reedy also suffered a collapsed lung.

Writing on Instagram, Reed said his Supercross season was over. “Yesterday was fun. Finally a halfway technical track. The whoops were so freaking awesome loved every pass. Unfortunately a mistake in the main was costly. Eight broken ribs, broken scapula and a collapsed lung.

“I’m bummed my year comes to an end with five to go.

“Thanks @dantruman101 @sheetmetal220 staying with me.”

But as you would expect from Chad, he is staying positive. “Thinking of everyone involved. I’ll be back!!,” he added.

As for Brayton, he says he’s okay but then again it sounds like he may not be. Here’s Brayton in his own words. “Well that was a wild ride!! Thankfully I’m ok. Just very sore and a possible torn MCL/ACL in my left knee. I’ll get everything checked out tomorrow [Monday]. Thanks for all the messages and support!

“I’ll give another update when I find out more. Hoping the best for @crtwotwo and @kylechisholm11 as well.”
