Austin Forkner has crashed during practice and the nasty looking wrist injury has put him out of racing Supercross at Anaheim on January 1 – indeed he may miss entire series.

Forkner, who competed in the 250SX West championship in 2017, announced the bad news via social media. “Unfortunately, this happened today [referring to the picture on his post – see below]. Just hit a slick spot and cased a rhythm and crashed,” the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider revealed.

“I heard it snap and ended up getting a break in my collarbone too. I’ve been riding the best I ever have so God’s got the plan and I’ll be back in good time.”

Traditionally, Pro Circuit leave it late to make the call on West or East coast championship for their rider roster so this may give Forkner the chance to still run the East coast, but it’s a big ask.
