Martin Davalos and newly-signed RCH pilot Weston Peick are the star names for the 24MX International Supercross and Freestyle MX.

Some 20 years have gone by without supercross getting a sniff of Sweden’s capital but it’s back with a bang with the 24MX International Supercross and Freestyle MX event, to be held at the state-of-the-art Tele2 Arena on October 11.

The organisers tell us that it will be a world-class action event that will boast a spectacular full-scale supercross track, designed by the experienced American track designer Brian “Skippy” Bradshaw. It will bring together an exciting line-up of talent that will make the 24MX International SX and FMX one of Europe’s top motorcycle events this autumn.

Some of the best European and Swedish riders will face stiff competition from the US of A.

Race organisers Bergman T have already secured the attendance of heavy hitters from the AMA Supercross series in the form of current 250 SX East points leader Martin Davalos and the popular Weston Peick.

The 27-year-old Monster Energy Kawasaki Pro Circuit rider is definitely a force to be reckoned with. Davalos has made a name for himself with his speed and smooth style.

Fan favourite Weston Peick is admittedly one of the fastest privateers in the world. Peick’s aggresive style, his “do or die” attitude has resulted in impressive top five finishes, spectacular crashes and heaps of publicity. No wonder the lanky Californian was snapped up by RCH Racing Soaring Eagle, the team of Carey Hart and Ricky Carmichael, for the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.

Staffan Bergman, promotor: “It’s been a long time since the last Supercross in Stockholm but it’s super exciting to be back! There’s so much to look forward to.

“First of all we will visit the amazing indoor Tele2 Arena where the spectators can enjoy perfect visibility and we have the space to create a real, full-size Supercross track. And of course we get to present all these top riders from the world of Supercross and Freestyle to the fans!”

Daniel Petersen, CEO 24MX: “Everyone who loves motocross and motorsport dreams about the experience of a live Supercross. We’re thrilled to bring the ‘real thing’ to Scandinavia! I’m sure this is going to be an event that will be talked about for a long time.”
