Steve Holcombe has taken the difficult decision to withdraw his name from the British International Six Days Enduro selection squad ahead of the 91st running of the event in Navarra, Spain.

Current leader of the Enduro 3 World Championship following the first three rounds of the 2016 EnduroGP series, Steve’s focus for the remainder of this year is his pursuit of the Enduro 3 World Championship title as well as participation in the remaining British Enduro Championship races and Beta Enduro Factory Team commitments. “I hope people understand that this has been a tough decision to make,” said Holcombe. “It’s something I’ve thought long and hard about and I know it’s the right decision.

“A lot has changed for me in recent months and competing in this year’s ISDE just doesn’t fit with either my plans or the plans of the Beta team. It’s fair to say that the year has gone much better than even I hoped it would – I simply owe it to myself, the Beta factory and all my sponsors to do all I can to try and win the Enduro 3 World title.

“Racing a full Enduro World Championship series as well as the national enduro commitments I have means that I have an extremely busy schedule. The ISDE requires a serious commitment – both in terms of the event itself but also pre-event preparation. I’m a huge fan of the ISDE and fully intend to return to the event very soon. I wish everyone in the British team effort all the very best.”
