Tommy Searle will not be racing at Prestons Docks this weekend as previously reported.
At last weekend’s MXGP of Germany, Steve Dixon spoke to us about Tommy’s return to racing.
It was understood that Tommy would ease his way back into racing in the UK before taking on the world motocross championship in a month’s time – possibly at Lombardia.
Tommy has now been touch to confirm that he will not be racing this weekend at Preston. “It’s a bit of a shame as I would like to already be at GPs and racing,” Tommy said. He and the team are now working towards the Hawkstone round of the MX Nationals, which is the same weekend as the MXGP of Russia.
The next opportunity for Tommy to race in the UK, following the MX Nationals, will be the fifth round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship at Desertmartin, Northern Ireland on June 18.
We’ll update here on Dirt Bike Rider when we get more news.
