The 2013 Red Bull Pro Nationals finished just a few days ago – and what a great series it was – but that doesn’t mean that the event organisers, e22 Sports can sit around drinking tequilas you know. They’ve been in touch with a press release to tease you mx fans with some details of the 2014 schedule.
Here’s what they had to say…
For 2014 we’ll be rolling out a new-look five-round Pro Nationals series designed to ramp up the intensity and build on the incredible success of May’s event at Weston-super-Mare.
Of course, we’re still staying true to our roots with races at the iconic Hawkstone Park and historic Canada Heights circuit but we’re returning to Weston and will be shortly announcing two more venues specifically chosen to expose Motocross to a mainstream family audience.
“When the Pro Nationals first dropped its startgate back in 2009 it was with the aim to make a difference to UK Motocross,” explains Matt Bates, MD of series promoter e22 Sports. “Most people doubted our plans to put so many classes into one event – let alone race the MX1 and MX2 in the same race – but I’m proud to say that keeping focused on making a difference has been what has set us apart from our competition.
“So moving into 2014 I’ve made a decision to turn it up yet another gear by intensely focusing our efforts on staging five of the most spectacular national Motocross events this sport has ever seen and this time the emphasis must mirror the thought process behind staging one of our events at Weston-super-Mare – to take Motocross to the people instead of letting them find us!”
