Oli Sansom is opening his practice and training track to quads this Sunday, August 18, as a fundraiser for the Team GB Quadcross of Nations team, of which he is a central player alongside Harry Walker and Murray Graham.

The all-weather site is, in part, is still under construction and some elements of the ambitious plans are still to be finished, such as showers for the riders, gym, jet wash for machines, floodlights for winter nights, etc, but the actual hard-packed and sand riding areas are good to go.

Tens of thousands of pounds have been pumped into making this the go-to practice and training track for quads and motocross riders and, once finished later in the year will offer the very best facilities in the UK.

Ahead of the official opening though, Sansom is encouraging quad riders of all abilities and ages to rock up for a fun day of riding on Sunday and help the Team GB QXoN effort at the same time.

The cost is just Ā£35 per rider and, as the track is allied with the MC Federation, all riders will be fully insured. Opening hours are 10am to 4pm and rider training is also available with Sansom.

ā€œWeā€™ve already spent a stack of money on getting our MX Academy to a level whereby it will offer a great dayā€™s riding,ā€ said Sansom.

ā€œHowever, I must stress that certain areas of the site are still under construction and we still have a lot of work ahead of us to make it the leading quad and solo motocross practice and training facility I envisage. Once itā€™s completed it will be amazing but I wanted to open it to quads first so they can get a feel for what weā€™re about, whilst raising funds for Team GB.ā€

Sansomā€™s MX Academy is just a five-minute drive from Junction 10 of the M6 ā€“ the postcode is WS2 7NR. Anyone interested in having a play in the sand on Sunday should either message Sansom via Facebook @Oli Sansom, or text 07805 615333.
