Earlier today we learned that Youthstream had cancelled the 16th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, which was due to held on August 12 at Uddevalla.

Youthstream has now sent out a statement but it fails to offer any explanation as to why the MXGP of Sweden had been axed.

The Youthstream statement read:

Due to last minute changes, Youthstream regretfully informs that the organizer of the MXGP of Sweden, in Uddevalla, had to cancel the FIM Motocross World Championship event scheduled for the 12th of August 2018.

Unfortunately as a result Youthstream has no choice but to also cancel the EMX125 Presented by FMF racing and EMX250 races that were foreseen at this event.

Ends

We’re sure motocross fans in Sweden will want to know why the round has been dropped ā€“ hopefully Youthstream will be a little more forthcoming. We’ll update here on dirtbikerider.com if we get more.
