At the MXGP of Russia, Clement Desalle was hunting down Jeffrey Herlings three laps from the finish in the opening MXGP moto when the rear wheel hit a small mound approaching a jump and he was a “passenger” as he was thrown over the bars in a nasty crash.
The team report that Desalle sustained what is suspected as a fracture of both tibia and fibula. Clement will fly back to Belgium for surgery.
