Monster Energy Yamaha says Romain Febvre will not be able to compete in the MXGP of Turkey as he recovers from a heavy crash.

Earlier today we reported that Febvre had been taken to the hospital for medical assessment following a crash during Timed Practice at the Afyon circuit in Turkey.

The results are back and the good news is that there are no broken bones. The bad news is that he suffered a concussion in the accident.

It means the 26-year-old Frenchman, who is part of the three-man team selected to represent Team France at the Motocross of Nations in just over a month’s time, will not be able to compete in Sunday’s race programme.

The factory team has not made any other information available at this time but we will update here on dirtbikerider.com when we learn more on his recovery progress.

Speedy recovery Romain ā€“ hopefully we’ll see you back on the bike soon.
