Max Nagl will continue to race in the FIM Motocross World Championship next season after securing a deal with a German team.
His deal with KTM Sarholz Racing Team marks a return to a brand where it all began for the 31-year-old German. “Everything started with Burkhard and Edith, with the team I have celebrated my first big successes,” remarked Nagl. “It all started with the 85cc engine and then ended with the switch to the KTM factory team in 2008.”
KTM Sarholz Racing Team feels they have delivered coup for their 2019 season with the signing of the former vice world champion. “When we heard that the project with TM and Max would probably not go on, we did not think long and made contact,” said the Niederrossbacher racing stable.
“It is a great honour for our team that Max has chosen us. We are 100 per cent convinced we can surprise many people in the coming year. Anyone who has seen Max’s appearance at the Motocross of Nations ā despite injury ā knows how much fire is left in him. We would like to thank all our partners and sponsors for their great support!”
Nagl will be limited to contesting the European rounds in MXGP but will also race in the ADAC MX Masters series. “It is so awesome now I’m back [on KTM] and together with the help of KTM and our partners we have been able to make a great package ā I’m highly motivated for the upcoming season,” said Nagl.
“We want to compete a successful season together. We want to clearly compete for the ADAC MX Masters title and achieve good results in the world championship.”
“When we heard that the project with TM and Max would probably not go on, we did not think long and made contact”, say the responsible of the Niederrossbacher racing stable. “If you have an exceptional driver like Max, then you’re inevitably dealing with it. It is a great honor for our team that Max has chosen us for his stations in various factory teams. We are 100% convinced we can surprise many people in the coming year. Anyone who has seen Max’s appearance at the MX of Nations – despite injury – knows how much fire is left in him. We would like to thank all our partners and sponsors for their great support! “Continues the KTM Sarholz Racing Team.
