It’s turned out to be a big day for Jordi Tixier – first he gets the MXoN fill-in ride for Team France and then an MXGP deal for 2019 gets announced.

Team VHR KTM announced the news today, one week earlier than they had planned. “We wanted to announce it next week, but following the announcement of its selection by the French Federation of motorcycling for nations in the US, we had to do it now,” said the team.

VHR KTM will be at Tixier’s side at the Motocross of Nations to provide technical assistance at RedBud on October 6/7. “We wish him good luck and the entire team of France,” they added. “We apologise to our partners for the photo, but in a hurry the official shootings have not been made yet.”

Jordi Tixier is certainly no stranger to KTM – he rode the Red Bull KTM factory 250 machine to a world championship title in 2014 but has had a tough time of late with injuries.

Hopefully, this is the start of a long run of positive news and good luck.
