Jeffrey Herlings was a no-show for the start of the 2018 MXGP Of Russia.

With no reports of injury, fans were a little confused as to the whereabouts of the FIM Motocross World Championship points leader when riders lined up for Free Practice in Orlyonok.

Well, worry not. Jeffrey Herlings hasn’t been injured but he was left with no gear for Free practice this morning. Herlings’ gear failed to arrive at Krasnodar yesterday and, with the next international arrival not due until this afternoon, his baggage was sent to Sotschi, where Jeffrey could collect it when the local office opened at 10am local time this morning.

He took a plane down the coast and hopes to be back later today.

If you were wondering why the team didn’t send somebody else to collect the gear, the Russians insisted he had to collect in person with proof of identity!
