Despite not feeling comfortable all weekend, Welshman Adam Sterry took his Kawasaki KX250F to two top-10 finishes at the 13th round of the FIM MX2 World Championship, at Semarang in Indonesia.

A massive crowd at the MXGP of Asia watched the F&H Racing Kawasaki streak out of the gate in both GP motos despite a disadvantageous gate after a disappointing qualification at the fast hardpack track on the outskirts of Indonesia’s fifth-largest city.

Rebuilding his season after a difficult start with injury, Sterry rode two solid races. One mistake as the rear wheel slid out on the polished surface cost him the sixth place in the opening moto which he had held since the first lap ā€“ he did quickly remount his KX250F but had lost two positions in the incident. Another excellent start and opening lap in moto two put #811 as high as sixth but a mistake cost him several places and he eventually finished 10th.

“We already made progress last weekend and they did a good job with the track here,” said Sterry. “More progress today but didn’t feel comfy all weekend at this track but we got through it.

“Two times top 10 was the goal this weekend and thatā€™s what we achieved so Iā€™m happy to be flying home safe from the two Indonesian rounds as weā€™ll now visit some of my favourite tracks like Loket. Iā€™m excited about that, and the entire team will keep working together to achieve even better results.”
